What is physiotherapy?

It is one of the medical specialties that was early defined as the diagnosis and treatment of disability and disease by natural means. There is another modern definition taken from Dr. Thelma Holmes, Associate Professor in the curricula of Physiotherapy at the University of Florida, which is:
Physiotherapy is the art and science that contributes to the development of health and preventing disease through understanding body movement. It works on correcting and mitigating the effects of illness and injury. The methods of this kind of thereby include evaluation and treatment of patients, management and supervision of natural treatment services and the working staff, consulting with other health systems, preparing records and reports, participating in community planning, projects and future plans and evaluating the educational programs.
